Metal Detecting Rally

There is a metal detecting rally, I could go to this weekend. Rallies aren't my kind of thing. I won't be going.

It appears to be a King Richard 1 or King John cut-halfpenny of the Canterbury mint.

Roman Coin

A Roman coin I found last year, was given to my local Finds Liaison Officer this month; it will be identified and recorded. The coin is not worth much financially, but can help us learn more about Roman Britain.

I need to get out again!

The last time I was out metal detecting was in Suffolk. There's a rally coming up in Cheshire soon, and I'll probably go to that.

I went out last month? and did quite well. I found, amongst other things, a medieval hammered coin.

I have been metal detecting for a long time, but don't get out too often.
