Metal Detecting in Lancashire

I went metal detecting on Sunday, just gone. I didn't find much. It was club rally, with approx. 40 odd people. The soil was lovely to dig. Maybe next time?

Going to Lincolnshire

Knock Back!

Another knock-back unfortunately. The farmer unfortunately doesn't own the land, and the owner doesn't allow metal detecting.

Buying Land

I am looking to buy some land in the Cheshire area. Hopefully it will be between 5 and 10 acres. I need a private mortgage. I will pay interest, and a re-payment of the loan over a period of time. All offers considered. Obviously the owner will have a full charge on the property, until the loan is paid.

Tudor Period

I think the Tudor period, is one of the periods I like making finds from most.

There is a programme on BBC4 this Wednesday, presented by Michael Wood, about tracing the history of a village. Hopefully, it should be good.
